MINI PANTRIES

We have a goal of expanding the influence of our local food pantries by partnering with them and local churches/organizations to install a mini pantries at all of the 67 schools in our county.

School districts: Arlington Independent School District, Azle Independent School District, Birdville Independent School District, Burleson Independent School District, Castleberry Independent School District, Crowley Independent School District, Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District, Everman Independent School District, Fort Worth Independent School District, Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District, Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District (HEB ISD), Keller Independent School District, Lake Worth Independent School District, Mansfield Independent School District, Northwest Independent School District, White Settlement Independent School District.

  • Churches and organizations are needed to partner with a school campus throughout the school year to help keep mini pantries stocked or to organize food bags to go home with students.

  • Churches are working with local food pantries and purchasing snacks themselves to keep campuses stocked. A lot of snacks are needed! See the food & hygiene list to help with a food & hygiene drive.

  • any churches are directly buying snacks when specific items are needed to restock a pantry. On average it costs approximately $2,500 a school year to keep one campus mini-pantry stocked and when food bags are directly sent home with kids, it can cost up to $7500 a school year for one campus. Any donation amount would help us purchase more snacks.
